The Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic administers the domains www.kacr.cz and www.auditing.cz. The Chamber is not responsible for the content of any other domains.
The Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic is a self-governing professional organisation established by the Act on Auditors No. 254/2000 Coll. for the purpose of regulation of the audit profession in the Czech Republic. The Chamber took over the rights and duties of the Chamber established under the 1992 legal regulations. As of April 14, 2009 the position and authority of the Chamber is newly governed by the Auditors´ Act No. 93/2009 Coll.
The Chamber has the following responsibilities:
- keeping the list of statutory auditors and guest auditors,
- keeping the list of audit firms,
- registering assistant auditors,
- managing audit exams and differential exams,
- proposing members of examination board to the Council for Public Supervision over Audit,
- issuing statements on passing of auditors examination and differential examinations,
- issuing of auditor´s licences,
- conrolling the auditors´ compliance with procedures in performing audit activities,
- setting national auditing standards, publishing translated International Standards on Auditing and related application clauses,
- issuing internal regulations of the Chamber, in particular the Statutes, the Procedural Rules of the Assembly, the Election Rules, the Contributory Rules, the Code of Ethics, the Guidelines on Assistants’ Managed Practice, the Guidelines on the Continuous Education, the Supervision Rules and the Disciplinary Rules,
- publishing lists of auditors and audit firms,
- taking decision about temporarily or permanent prohibition of performance of audit acitvities,
- taking decision on submitted applications for relief of part of the auditors examination and for recognising qualifications,
- managing educational programmes for preparation of auditors examination,
- providing a range of educational programmes for auditors, assistant auditors and other professionals,
- publishing professional magazine "Auditor" and professional handbooks for auditors,
- sale of professional foreign publications,
- co-operation with national and foreign professional organizations and governmental institutions,
- activity connected with the membership in the international professional organizations IFAC and FEE.
